Ms. Kala Jagetia is an accomplished entrepreneur and investor, distinguished by her deep commitment to Indian arts and crafts and supported by a strong academic foundation, holding a Master’s degree in Economics from Rajasthan University.

Her entrepreneurial journey began in 1988 when she took the bold step of establishing her own enterprise dedicated to the manufacturing of hand-knotted woollen carpets. Entering an industry known for its intricacy, cultural significance, and artisanal depth, Mrs. Jagetia built her business from the ground up, driven by a profound appreciation for India’s artistic traditions and the craftsmanship of its artisans.

Mrs. Jagetia’s worldview is enriched by her extensive travels to several countries across the Far East and Europe. These journeys have broadened her cultural perspective, deepened her appreciation for global art traditions, and reinforced her passion for promoting India’s creative legacy on international platforms.

In 2022-23, Mrs. Jagetia launched India ODOP Promotions (IOP) as a flagship initiative of Flora India, with the vision of bringing India’s unparalleled craft heritage to the global stage. Backed by a team of passionate professionals, IOP has witnessed remarkable growth, now proudly featuring ODOP products from over 21 of India’s 28 states. By celebrating the skill and creativity of Indian artisans, IOP is creating a platform where tradition meets global appreciation.

Beyond her professional achievements, she takes immense pride in her role as a mother of two. Her personal and professional life both reflect her enduring dedication to fostering creativity, preserving heritage, and empowering the next generation of Indian artisans and entrepreneurs.
