Darjeeling Tea

Darjeeling Tea is cultivated on sprawling tea estates in Darjeeling and Kalimpong in Bengal (formerly West Bengal). While the tea leaves are primarily processed into black tea, they can also be used to create green, white, and oolong teas.  Darjeeling tea is celebrated for its distinctive astringent and musky flavor, accompanied by a delightful floral aroma. Grown on the steep slopes of the Himalayan foothills, it possesses a unique character that sets it apart from other tea varieties grown in eastern parts of India. Often dubbed the “champagne of teas,” Darjeeling tea is highly prized among tea enthusiasts. For nearly 2 decades, Darjeeling tea has been internationally recognized with a GI tag.
